Automotive Lead Technician​/Journeyman

The Patrick Dealer Group, one of Chicago’s largest automotive dealerships, is hiring! We are seeking Automotive Journeymen to join our Cadillac Service team.

  All compensation and benefits are provided through Local 701. Current Journeyman flat rate: $47.25 per book hour.

• Automotive Experience
  :
  Minimum2 - 3 years Journeyman level Automotive Mechanic experience
• Preferred Qualifications
  : ASE Certification and/or General Motors Center of Learning Training.
• Clean Driving Record
  : A valid and clean driving record is essential.
• Compliance
  :
  Must be willing to submit to a drug screen and background check.
• Age Requirement
  :
  Must be 19 years of age or older.

• Collaborate with Service Advisors
  :
  Discuss work to be performed and future repair requirements.
• Diagnose and Repair
  :
  Maintain and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Warranty Repairs
  :
  Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Efficient Work
  :
  Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Vehicle Inspections
  :
  Conduct proper vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and company policies
  .
• Keep up to date with industry trends and advancements in automotive technology.

• Educational Background
  :
  One-year certificate from college or technical school, or three to six months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
