You Create Impact

As a Global Services Local QSHE Manager, you will lead all Quality, Security, Health, and Environment (QSHE) programs for our Costa Rica site, ensuring full compliance with local regulations, Free Trade Zone (FTZ) requirements, and Kuehne+Nagel global standards. You will play a critical role in strengthening our operational risk governance, driving business continuity readiness, and fostering a strong safety and quality culture across the organization.

  • Driving compliance through regular QSHE inspections, ensuring findings are properly tracked, prioritized, and resolved.
  • Leading incident and non-compliance management processes, including investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions (CAPA).
  • Coordinating internal and external audits (ISO, FTZ, corporate, regulatory), ensuring readiness, documentation, and follow-up.
  • Maintaining QSHE systems, including policies, risk registers, emergency plans, and compliance records.
  • Leading and continuously improving the local Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Emergency Response Plan.
  • Conducting Business Impact Assessments (BIA) with key stakeholders to identify critical processes and recovery priorities.
  • Planning and executing crisis simulations, emergency drills, and BCP tests, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to leadership on QSHE, risk, compliance, and business continuity matters.
  • Driving a proactive culture of safety, quality, and prevention through training, communication, and engagement.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with HR, Facilities, Finance, IT, Security, and Global QSHE teams to ensure strong governance and accountability.
  • Developing and executing the QSHE and BCP annual strategy, including KPIs, dashboards, and improvement initiatives.
What We Would Like You To Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Costa Rican occupational safety and environmental regulations.
  • Proven experience managing QSHE systems and ISO standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).
  • Experience in audit management, compliance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop risk registers, BCP documentation, audit evidence, and executive-level reporting in both English and Spanish.
  • Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Analytical, risk-based mindset with strong attention to detail and execution discipline.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical requirements into practical actions.

  • Sound judgment and resilience in managing incidents, audits, and crisis situations.
