The Senior Account Manager is the highest level of the DecisionHR Benefits Account Management career path, serving as a senior strategic consultant, executive relationship manager, and subject-matter expert for a portfolio of large, complex, and high-value client accounts. This role independently owns multi-year benefit strategy, advanced carrier negotiations, comprehensive funding analysis, and cost-containment program development -- and operates as a trusted advisor to client C-suite and senior HR leadership.
In addition to managing the most complex accounts in the portfolio, the Senior Account Manager provides mentorship and technical leadership to Benefits Account Manager I and II staff, contributes to team development and process improvement, and serves as the department's internal expert on funding arrangements, multi-state compliance, PEO master plan design, and benefits consulting best practices. Promotion to this level is based on demonstrated expertise rather than tenure alone.
