Within the Premium Products & Travel (PP&T) organization, the Concierge team harnesses the power of artificial intelligence, the warmth of human experts and the convenience of the latest interfaces to help high-performance people actualize the full potential of their lives.

The Concierge team is currently hiring a Director to lead our business development team, developing and driving our strategy with Velocity Black business partnerships. We are seeking a business development professional with experience in the premium experiences and luxury services space. This person should be deeply networked, or able to create new networks, and be able to operate independently while leading a team.

Responsibilities:
- Own the overarching business development roadmap for the Velocity Black/Concierge portfolio across premium experiences, luxury goods, and strategic enterprise solutions
- Define the strategic vision and construct scalable growth frameworks focused on aggressive market expansion and acquiring exclusive, proprietary inventory
- Lead complex, high-stakes negotiations and foster strategic alignment across premium travel, product, brand, and marketing sectors
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of business development professionals to drive market leadership
- Architect a sustainable, multi-year pipeline to capture market share, drive revenue growth, and maximize the lifetime value of top-tier partnerships
- Develop and leverage a powerful network of global enterprise partners, premier vendors, and industry leaders to unlock new revenue streams
- Govern the partnership lifecycle at a macro level, from complex deal structuring and financial modeling to long-term value realization
- Design and implement enterprise-grade frameworks that drive global scalability, operational excellence, and predictable growth
- Travel:
May require up to 40%
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
- At least 10 years of Business Development experience
- At least 5 years of experience in people management
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of premium or luxury hospitality, travel, events, or retail experience
- 7+ years of experience running teams of across multiple geographies
- 7+ years of experience managing third party operators and vendors

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Richmond, VA: $209,500 - $239,100 for Director, Business Development New York, NY: $251,400 - $286,900 for Director, Business Development Mc Lean , VA: $230,400 - $263,000 for Director, Business Development
