General Scope and Summary

Q32 Bio is searching for a skilled, collaborative Senior Director of Investor Relations (IR) and Corporate Communications to lead and oversee all IR and public relations (PR) activities for the Company. This rolewill be responsible for the development of the company’s strategic investor relations and external communications plan and will direct and oversee the tactical implementation. Key responsibilities will include, cultivating and nurturing strong buy and sell-side relationships, overseeing the development ofall IR and corporate communications materials, coordinating on other public company disclosures,driving greater external awareness, and leading the participation in all investor events.

This role will report to the Company’s President & CFO, and will work in close collaboration with members of the Company’s Executive Team.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic investor relations plan; maintain and proactively update as appropriate; drive IR/PR tactics for the timing and release strategy of key corporate updates.
• Working closely with the President & CFO and other members of the Executive Team, oversee development of all press releases including for quarterly and annual financial results and corporate and development updates.
• Oversee the development of all other critical investor materials including corporate decks and other presentations, the corporate and IR website updates, Q&As and conference call scripts for members ofthe Executive Team.
• Support buy- and sell-side outreach and oversee participation in investor conferences, 1-1s, NDRs, andall other investor events.
• Maintain databases of key buy-side and sell-side targets and lead outreach efforts to drive continued expansion of shareholder base and sell-side awareness and research coverage.
• Support the Executive Team with briefing materials ahead of investor meetings as appropriate and maintain record of investor meetings and key feedback.
• Lead the development of social media materials and partner with PR agency on media outreach strategy and implementation.
• Closely coordinate with finance and legal teams on the content development and release of required SEC filings, including disclosures on Form 8-K, quarterly and annual reports on Form 10-Q and 10-K and on annual meeting materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, communications or related field required; advanced degree preferred
• 1 2 – 15+ years experience in investor relations, finance, and/or communications; preferably in publicly traded biotechnology companies
• Experience in fundraising, with a proven track record raising capital, preferably in/for the biotechnology industry
• Proven ability to close new investors
• Proven ability to engage confidently with C-suite executives
• A deep network within the investor community and passion for building relationships and networking at a professional and personal level
• Excellent project management and organizational skills
• Collaborative personality with a hands-on, action orientation
• Problem solver with ability to research solutions and suggest resolutions
• Strong business acumen and understanding of accounting and finance concepts
