The Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) Representative visits existing DecisionHR clients throughout the New York City metro area on an ongoing basis to provide risk control, hazard analysis, and recommendations to remediate identified hazards and reduce workplace injuries. This role serves as a critical link between DecisionHR's Risk Management function and its NYC-area clients, helping strengthen workers' compensation outcomes through proactive, on-site safety consulting.

This is a field-based role requiring daily travel throughout New York City and surrounding areas using public transportation, rideshare, and walking. The ideal candidate must reside within reasonable commuting distance of the New York City metro area and be comfortable navigating a dense urban environment to conduct multi-site visits each day. In addition to field work, this role requires strong data entry and reporting skills, proficiency in Excel, and experience with AI-assisted tools to produce professional client reports and maintain accurate system records.

• Conduct on-site visits to client locations throughout the New York City metro area to identify worksite risk exposures and make recommendations to correct or eliminate hazardous conditions. All clients are to be visited every six months; an additional visit is required when a client has an indemnity accident or three medical-only accidents within any given month.
• Navigate the NYC metro area efficiently using public transportation (subway, bus, commuter rail), rideshare, and on foot; manage a daily visit schedule across multiple boroughs or locations, including buildings with stairs, loading docks, and varied physical environments.

• Develop client-level risk management, risk control, and safety processes to strengthen workers' compensation outcomes and reduce workplace injuries, including the development of customized safety programs tailored to each client's industry and work environment.

• Provide client management with verbal and written risk management, risk control, and safety recommendations; measure and document client progress with those recommendations on an ongoing basis.
• Enter visit findings, recommendations, and follow-up data accurately into multiple systems including Salesforce and relevant risk management platforms; maintain thorough and audit-ready documentation of all client activity.

• Create professional client-facing reports using Microsoft Excel and Word; compile site visit data, hazard summaries, and safety recommendation progress into clear, well-organized reports distributed to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Perform accurate data entry of inspection results, accident investigation findings, class code verifications, and safety program updates across multiple internal systems.
• Utilize AI software tools, including Claude AI, to support report drafting, data analysis, research, and internal documentation; leverage technology to improve reporting efficiency and consistency.

• For each new client, prepare a Needs Assessment/Service Plan that includes the reason for service, nature of services to be provided, and frequency of visit.

• Perform underwriting visits to prospective clients on an as-needed basis to examine business operations, assess risk exposure, and evaluate premium and price adequacy.
