Department:
Central Receiving
Maintains the College’s fixed assets and inventory records; tracks and verifies records. Provides assistance to all faculty and staff regarding moves/transfers, asset disposal status, and/or general Fixed Assets matters.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions- Provides administrative support and assistance to the Receiving and Distribution Manager.
- Processes confidential information and coordinates various projects.
- Tracks all fixed assets, inventory, and donations/gifts and prepares items for auction or recycle/disposal.
- Maintains communication with the grants department for proper disposal of obsolete grant assets.
- Processes and accounts for all the completed Banner Fixed Assets workflow requests and prepare assets for auction or recycle/disposal.
- Assist departments with their physical inventory and conducts annual department inventory audits.
- Conducts department annual physical inventory, provides financial managers with inventory reports, and updates information in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, as needed.
- Prepares and maintains records of all auctioned and recycled assets.
- Assists the Manager with the Receiving, Mail Services and Copy Center as needed.
- Notifies the Receiving and Distribution Manager of any required vehicle maintenance.
- Assists with fueling the Central Receiving and Mail Services vehicles.
- Reviews and completes the fixed assets workflow process and ensures all assets are updated in system.
- Performs other duties as appropriate to department needs.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Two (2) years related experience, preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Good data entry skills with close attention to details and accuracy.

- Ability to function well under time constraints and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Must have valid Texas driver's license.
- Forklift, First Aid and HAZMAT certifications preferred.
