Transportation Planning GIS Intern

The intern will be paid $18.00 per hour with no benefits, working approximately 10-20 hours per week. The internship will last for no longer than 9 months after official start date. MRCOG offers flexibility within regular business hours (8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Mon.

-Fri.) to accommodate student schedules.

Credit hours granted for this work experience are solely at the discretion of the student’s college or university and should be discussed with a program advisor. MRCOG will provide an end-of-term evaluation upon request.

Enrolled in or a recent graduate from an associate’s, bachelor’s or master’s degree program in geography, planning, engineering, economics, computer science, or related field. Basic experience with GIS software, such as ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to work independently in the absence of supervision. Ability to work with a variety of individuals. Experience in data analysis and/or land use planning is preferred.
