- ** Job Summary
** The STRIDES Outbreak Response Technical Advisor provides overall leadership, coordination, and operational oversight for STRIDES-supported outbreak preparedness, response, recovery, and transition activities associated with an ongoing outbreak of Ebola Bundibugyo virus disease (BVD) in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). This role serves as the central focal point for STRIDES BVD coordination and incident management, ensuring timely implementation of response strategies aligned with national response plans, global gold standards, donor requirements, and organizational emergency management procedures.

The Ebola Response Advisor will work closely with project teams, including the Headquarter (HQ) team and country offices teams, to oversee STRIDES technical and operational support, ensuring that STRIDES-supported interventions effectively reduce transmission, morbidity, and mortality associated with Ebola disease.
** Accountabilities
* * Technical Requirements**:
*** Lead and manage all aspects of STRIDES Ebola outbreak preparedness and response activities.
* Activate, coordinate, and oversee Incident Management System (IMS) structures and emergency operations functions.
* Serve as the primary technical and operational focal point for STRIDES Ebola response implementation.
* Provide strategic leadership and guidance to response teams, government counterparts, and implementing partners.
* Facilitate daily incident management meetings, situation reviews, and operational planning sessions.
* Ensure alignment of response activities with national and international Ebola response protocols and guidelines.
* Coordinate surge staffing, deployment planning, and cross-functional response activities.
* Monitor epidemiological trends and use data to guide operational decision-making.
* Review surveillance reports and provide recommendations for response adjustments.
* Provides project staff with overall technical direction and guidance in line with the project expected outcomes.
* Supports technical aspects of projects including staff and partner capacity building.
* Monitors and maintains project protocols, instruments, data sets, manuals, training materials and reports related to technical area of expertise.
* Works closely with the team to ensure project implementation remains technically sound and adheres to company strategy and standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
* Develops or writes technical briefs, reports, or other necessary materials to facilitate research, best practices, policies, and procedures.
* Conducts analysis of project implementation to identify areas for improvement and propose appropriate technical strategy and guidelines.
* Provides mentorship and team building at the task level.
* Support transition planning from emergency response to recovery and resilience-building activities.
* Provides technical support in the development and dissemination of tools, materials, reports, papers, and intervention for research projects.
* Provides technical input on subject matter best practices to outbreak response
* Develops and monitors technical work plans and budgets.
* Participate in client / funder meetings and draft reports / presentations.

Project Design Implementation**:
