Actuarial Intern, Valuations - 2027 Summer Intern

We are searching for an experienced Actuarial Intern, Valuations - 2027 Summer Intern at our Connecticut office.

Wilton Re's Norwalk based internship program is 10-12weeks, fast-paced, and an exciting opportunity to gain professional experience within your field of study or career interest. Interns will be part of an accelerated learning experience,to challenge skills learned in the classroom and develop new skills while working on active Wilton Re projects. In addition, interns will connect to our company culture through community outreach projects and be able to develop their professional skills and business acumen through frequent exposure tosenior leadership, unique projects, and a network of mentors and fellow interns.

• Assist the valuation team with AXIS model runs
• Perform business as usual (BAU) valuation tasks for Q2 reporting. This may include statutory, tax and LDTI reserve model runs in AXIS
• Get familiar with AXIS modeling
• Perform other BAU valuation tasks including completing control checks and preparing financial reporting deliverables for internal and external customers
• Assist in the completion of experience studies to help propose new or confirm existing liability assumptions

• Rising junior or senior
• Attending a 4-year university, pursuing a bachelors level degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related discipline.
• Strong technical skills desired with Excel knowledge and possibly SQL or other programming language knowledge a plus. Familiarity with other Microsoft programs is also good (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Access, CoPilot, etc.).

Hybrid format with 3 days in-person and 2 days from home

Base salary/hourly rate range forthis position in Connecticut is between $20.00 and $30.00 an hour.
