Job Overview

Under the supervision of the School Age Site Coordinator, the Group Leader will assist in supervising the program and ensuring a safe, healthy, and constructive environment for all children involved. The Group Leader will ensure that all responsibilities reflect the mission beliefs of the Old Colony Y, uphold the employee code of conduct, and display and encourage caring, responsibility, honesty, and respect in all job duties.

• Assist in supervising the program.
• Ensure a safe, healthy, and constructive environment for all children.
• Uphold the employee code of conduct and the mission of the Old Colony Y.
• Display and encourage caring, responsibility, honesty, and respect.

• Minimum 18 years of age and 6 months of school‑age experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
• Evidence of a physical examination within the last 12 months.
• Negative Mantoux TB test and immunity for measles, mumps, and rubella.
• Ability to create and sustain a culture of excellence and work as part of a cohesive team.
• Ability to lift/move heavy equipment and clean when necessary.
• Will sometimes work early morning, late nights, and weekends.
• Strong oral communication skills required for occasional public speaking responsibilities.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift up to 75 lbs on occasion and 40 lbs frequently (children) and move intermittently during work hours.
• Ability to understand Y‑USA's three focus areas:
  Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility and prove ability to identify and meet the needs of the health seeker.

Community Based Child Care (Multiple Locations)

$16.00 – $18.40 / hour
