Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher Assistant to support our Infant Room team. In this vital role, you will work closely with lead teachers to create a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for our youngest learners. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help foster early childhood development, ensuring each infant receives attentive care, appropriate stimulation, and a positive learning experience.

This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the foundational growth of children during their most formative years. Even though this is a temporary position, you will sign a one year contract that can renew. The hours will be 9-6 (one hour lunch break); please don't apply if you cannot work those hours M-F. Pay for this job is $15 per hour.

Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing daily activities that promote early childhood development and social-emotional growth for infants. Provide attentive infant care, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and ensuring safety at all times. Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment conducive to learning and exploration. Engage with children through age-appropriate play, sensory activities, and interaction that encourage curiosity and developmental milestones.

Observe and document individual child progress, behaviors, and needs to inform teaching strategies and communicate effectively with families. Follow all health and safety protocols diligently, including first aid procedures when necessary. Collaborate with team members to create inclusive experiences that support children with diverse needs or disabilities. This role will eventually be the closer for the baby room, once trained.

Experience Prior experience working with infants or in early childhood education settings such as daycare or preschool is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in infant care is essential. Experience with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies for young children is advantageous. Certifications such as first aid or CPR are a plus; ongoing training in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is beneficial.
