Playcare Counselor

Looking for a fun, flexible job working with kids? Peas Playcare in Nyack is hiring Playcare Counselors to support our parties, playcare programs, and special events. This is a fantastic opportunity to build real, hands‑on experience with children — especially for those pursuing careers in education, child development, nursing, or social work.

Peas Playcare is a community-centered play space in the heart of Nyack. We offer drop‑in playcare, birthday parties, and special evening programs for kids. Our mission is simple: create a fun, safe space where children can play and grow, and parents feel supported.

No prior experience required — we’ll train you. What matters most is that you’re energetic, responsible, and genuinely love being around kids. This role is a great fit if you’re looking for flexible hours that work around a school or class schedule, and want to build meaningful experience in a child‑focused environment.

Age Requirement: 16 and older

Pay: $16-17/hour

Hours: Between 8 - 28 hours per week, depending on your availability.

We schedule based on when you say you’d like to work. Shifts are mostly for weekends but may be on weekdays too.
