Nanny - Hoboken, NJ

Full-time Nanny required for a Hoboken, NJ family with a young toddler girl, starting ASAP. Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for providing attentive care and interacting with their daughter in an engaging, safe and age-appropriate way. To be successful in this role, you will need to be loving, reliable and looking to partner with parents who value mutual respect and good communication.

The ideal candidate is a trustworthy and experienced individual who can provide hands on, calm and caring care in any situation. The family would love a nanny with a medical background however all strong candidates are encouraged to apply!

Both parents work in the medical field with changing and busy schedules. Candidates who can adapt to the evolving needs of their busy home are essential, including flexibility with overall schedule and willingness to chip in and support the smooth running of the home.

Days/times:
Guaranteed 40 hours a week with expected hours landing between 7am-6pm. (some days 8am-5pm, etc). Mom splits her time between the hospital and working from home.

Some flexibility for additional hours is required - determined by the parents changing work / on call hours. No current travel is expected with this role.

Conditions: $35 - $45 per hour* (all hours over 40hr paid at x1.5 rate) plus unlimited monthly NYC OMNY/NJ transit travel equivalent plus sick/personal days, public holidays and at least two weeks paid leave per year.

• Ability to commit long term to a family
• Minimum of 5 years experience working with multiple families with young children
• A well-suited demeanor + recent experience working with young toddlers
• Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, loving care and high emotional intelligence
• Ability to complete light, infant related housekeeping duties (laundry, meal preparation, organization, etc) and maintain all common areas in a clean and tidy state
• Experience in partnering + supporting parents with toddler milestones + goals
• Education or equivalent practical knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development
• A flexible schedule and ability/interest to support a busy household
