Sales Estimator – Direct Hire Opportunity (Northern Kentucky)
$90,000-$100,000 starting salary, depending on experience
7am-4pm Monday-Friday
Our client in Northern Kentucky is seeking a driven and detail‑oriented Sales Estimator to join their growing team. This is a direct hire opportunity with long‑term growth potential for someone with strong estimating, customer relationship, and construction plan reading experience.
Position SummaryThe Sales Estimator is responsible for driving sales activity by building customer relationships, preparing accurate project quotes, managing opportunities, and supporting successful project handoffs to Project Management. This role serves as a key point of contact for customers and plays an important role in delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare accurate and timely project quotes
- Read and interpret civil construction plans and specifications
- Perform detailed take‑offs from construction drawings
- Develop and maintain customer relationships
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Coordinate with Project Managers, production, dispatch, and customers to ensure quote accuracy
- Support successful transition of awarded projects to operations
- Maintain knowledge of products, applications, municipalities, and DOT specifications
- Help improve sales processes and operational efficiency
- Assist in developing and training other sales personnel
- Support and help lead overall sales strategy
- 5+ years of successful sales or estimating experience
- Experience in construction, precast, manufacturing, or related industries preferred
- Ability to read and understand civil construction plans
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to travel moderately as needed
