Role Description Our open position, QAQC Manager (Electrical) is a full-time, on-site role located in Lebanon, KY, responsible for ensuring quality standards and compliance across all phases of solar construction projects. This position oversees site inspections, verifies installation quality, and documents findings in accordance with project specifications, industry codes, and client requirements. The Solar Onsite QC Manager collaborates closely with site supervisors, construction teams, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues, implement corrective actions, and maintain consistent workmanship.
Daily tasks include preparing and reviewing QC reports, maintaining records, participating in project meetings, and supporting safety and performance audits. The role also involves coaching field teams on quality best practices and proactively identifying risks that could affect schedule, cost, or performance.
Qualifications
- Experience in solar construction quality control, including onsite inspections, testing, submittals and verification of electrical and structural installations.
- Knowledge of relevant codes, civil blueprints, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, local building codes, utility interconnection requirements) and ability to apply them in field operations.
- Skill in documentation and reporting, including creating inspection checklists, writing clear QC reports, and maintaining organized records.
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities to work effectively with site leadership, craft professionals, subcontractors, and client representatives.
- Proficiency in using basic construction and QC tools, as well as standard office and project management software for data entry and tracking.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced field environment.
- Previous experience in utility-scale solar, renewable energy, or large construction projects is highly beneficial.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or a degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in varying weather conditions, follow all safety protocols, and travel within the project area as needed.
