We work closely with top-tier landscape architects and design firms to bring refined outdoor spaces to life through expert craftsmanship and horticultural insight.
We're seeking a motivated and skilled Lead Mason - Construction Crew Leader to join our field operations team. This role is ideal for a professional who upholds high standards of craftsmanship, values industry best practices, and takes pride in leading small crews through the execution of high-end residential masonry and construction projects.
Responsibilities- Lead a small crew in the installation of landscape masonry projects, including building veneer, retaining walls, freestanding walls, patios, walkways, stair systems, and other hardscape features.
- Read construction plans and perform project layout, grades, and elevations in the field.
- Execute work with a high level of craftsmanship, emphasizing proper construction techniques and a high attention to detail.
- Maintain clean, professional, and organized jobsites at all times.
- Communicate material, equipment, and logistical needs with foresight for upcoming work.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
- Maintain accurate daily records using digital tools, job sheets, and timecards.
- Uphold company safety standards while mentoring and developing crew members.
- 3-5 years of field-based landscape construction or masonry experience.
- Ability to lead and support a crew of 1-3 employees.
- Familiarity with reading construction plans and translating layout in the field.
- Understanding of quality masonry practices, including proper layout, drainage, bonding, and attention to finish details.
- Proficient in operating skid steers, mini excavators, and other landscape construction equipment.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Valid DOT Medical Card
