Weareseekingan Estimatortojoinour Preconstructionteam .Thisroleisresponsiblefordevelopingaccurateandcomprehensiveconstructionestimatesfromearlyconceptualdesignthroughfinalbidandprojectaward.

The Estimatorworkscloselywithclients,designteams,trade partners,suppliers,andinternalprojectteamstoevaluatescope,identifyopportunitiesandrisks,anddevelopcompetitiveprojectpricing.

Theidealcandidatehasastrongunderstandingofcommercialconstruction,withHCAI(formerlyOSHPD) healthcare and/orDSAK-12educationexperiencehighlypreferred.

• Southern California(includingMorenoValley,Inland Empire,Irvineareas)

• Reviewandinterpretprojectplans,specifications,addenda,andothercontractdocumentstounderstandprojectscopeandrequirements
• Preparedetailedquantitytakeoffsandpricingforlabor,materials,equipment,general conditions,andotherprojectcosts
• Developconceptual,schematic,GMP,negotiated,design-build,andhard-bidestimates
• Evaluateprojectdocumentsforscopegaps,constructabilityconcerns,costrisks,and opportunities
• Developandmaintainestimatesthroughoutthedesignprocess,includingcostcomparisons,variance analyses,andvalueengineeringoptions
• Evaluatesitelogistics,sequencing,schedule requirements,productivity,andotherfactorsthatmayimpactprojectcosts
• Participateinestimatereviewsandbid-dayactivitiestoensureestimatesareaccurate,complete,and competitive

• Developbidpackages,scopesofwork,RFQs/RFPs,andsubcontractorsolicitationdocuments
• Solicit,review,level,andanalyzetradepartnerandsupplierproposalsforcompletenessandcompetitiveness
• Buildandmaintainstrongrelationshipswithtradepartners,suppliers,clients,andprojectteams
• Clearlycommunicateestimateassumptions,exclusions,opportunities,andriskstoprojectteamsandleadership
• Collaborate with Operations and Project Managementtosupportthetransitionofawardedprojectsfrom Preconstructionto Operations
• Participateinclientmeetings,interviews,presentations,andprojectpursuitsasneeded
• Dependingonexperience,leadpreconstructioneffortsoncomplexprojectsandprovideguidanceandmentorshiptojuniorestimatingteammembers

• Bachelor'sdegreein
  
  Construction
  
  Management,Civil Engineering,Architecture,orarelatedfieldpreferred;equivalentconstructionexperiencewillbeconsidered
• Commercialconstructionestimating,preconstruction,project engineering,orrelatedexperience
• HCAI/OSHPDhealthcareand/orDSAK-12estimatingexperiencehighlypreferred
• Strongknowledgeofconstructionmeans,methods,sequencing,materials,building systems,andcosts
• Experiencewithconceptualestimating,quantitytakeoffs,hardbids,negotiatedwork,design-build,and/orGMPestimating
• Abilitytoreadandinterpretconstructiondrawings,specifications,andcontractdocuments
• Experiencesoliciting,reviewing,leveling,andanalyzingsubcontractorproposals
• Strong analytical,mathematical,organizational,and problem-solving skills
• Excellentattentiontodetailwiththeabilitytomanagemultipleprioritiesandmeetcriticaldeadlines
• Strongwrittenandverbalcommunicationskillswiththeabilitytoworkcollaborativelywithinternalandexternalteams
• Workingknowledgeof Microsoft Excel ,Bluebeam,takeoff/estimating software,BIMtools,andconstructionmanagementplatforms

• Salary Range:$100,000/year-$195,000/year(basedonexperience)
