The ideal candidate brings strong MEP systems expertise, broad commercial and mission critical construction experience, clear communication, and the ability to solve complex problems in a collaborative, team-based environment.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • You bring design teams, trade partners, commissioning agents, vendors, owners, and internal teams together with clarity, accountability, and respect.
  • You keep procurement, BIM/VDC coordination, inspections, startup, testing, commissioning, and turnover aligned with project milestones.

  • Partner with design teams, consultants, commissioning agents, and internal stakeholders to keep MEP planning and construction aligned.
  • Review construction documents for constructability, completeness, code compliance, design gaps, and alignment with phasing and sequencing.
  • Oversee estimating, purchasing, accounting, construction, safety, and quality assurance activities for MEP subcontractors.
  • Coordinate scope instructions, technical requirements, bid packages, subcontractor agreement exhibits, and vendor requirements for MEP work.
  • Review subcontractor bids, budgets, RFIs, submittals, equipment logs, procurement logs, and long-lead material needs to support buyout and procurement.
  • Work with VDC coordinators to integrate MEP, architectural, structural, civil, and IT systems in the project’s federated BIM model.
  • Lead BIM coordination and MEP/commissioning meetings to support clash resolution, operational planning, and timely decision-making.
  • Support onsite construction, startup, balancing, commissioning, validation, owner training, punch list resolution, turnover, closeout, and warranty activities.

Safety, Quality, and Commissioning

  • Promote a culture of safety at all times and actively contribute to safety-based planning during preconstruction, planning, and execution.
  • Support execution of the project’s Site Specific Safety Plan and Energy Management Plan, including required safety inspections, observations, and MEP‑related incident investigations.
  • Monitor work quality and ensure MEP installation aligns with project documents, specifications, codes, safety expectations, and Lewis quality standards.
  • Coordinate startup, testing, and commissioning activities with commissioning agents, trade partners, vendors, and client operations teams.
  • Develop project‑specific commissioning schedules, integrate commissioning activities with overall project milestones, and manage equipment startup checklist execution and accuracy.
