Residential & Commercial Building Inspector, Lancaster

Technicon Enterprises II, Inc. (TEI II) is seeking experienced UCC Residential & Commercial Building Inspectors to join our team. The role will support our Lancaster, PA projects. Responsibilities of a Residential & Commercial Building Inspector include:

Conduct residential/commercial building inspections of permitted projects to ensure compliance with the Uniform Construction Code (UCC).
Prepare written inspection reports and provide deficiencies to contractors for corrections needed.
Attend any required pre-construction or construction progress meetings requested by contractor.
Possess and maintain UCC certifications to perform applicable inspections for residential or commercial projects.
As applicable based on certifications possessed, review of residential and commercial building plans and issuance of building permits.

Education and Experience of a Residential and Commercial Building Inspector include:

PA UCC (Uniform Construction Code) knowledge and experience.
Associate or bachelor's degree, high school diploma or GED required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Physical Requirements of a Residential and Commercial Building Inspector include:

Ability to navigate construction sites and buildings, climbing ladders, crawling through tight spaces, navigating uneven terrain.
Ability to inspect structural components, systems, and finishes of a building. This includes the ability to identify defects, code violations, and safety hazards.

Compensation increases as new certifications are obtained

Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.
