Axiom is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a diverse portfolio of state of good repair (SOGR), asset renewal, rehabilitation, replacement, and facility improvement projects for major transit and public transportation agencies in the Seattle region and throughout the Pacific Northwest. The role will manage projects from planning and scoping through design, procurement, construction, testing, closeout, and turnover while maintaining a strong focus on safety, scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and stakeholder commitments.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on, client‑focused project manager with a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and experience delivering multiple concurrent capital projects in active operating environments. This position is well suited to a leader who can move comfortably between technical teams, contractors, agency operations and maintenance staff, project controls, procurement, and executive stakeholders while keeping projects organized, accountable, and moving toward successful completion.

Lead multiple SOGR and capital improvement projects through the full project lifecycle, from project definition and planning through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, closeout, and turnover.

Establish project objectives, scope, delivery strategies, work plans, budgets, schedules, governance, decision pathways, and performance expectations.

Manage multidisciplinary teams that may include engineering, architecture, construction management, project controls, operations, maintenance, safety, quality, environmental, permitting, and specialty technical resources.

Coordinate project interfaces and dependencies across facilities, stations, guideway, track, structures, utilities, electrical, mechanical, communications, controls, and other transit infrastructure.

Maintain clear accountability for project actions, decisions, milestones, deliverables, and commitments.

Lead renewal, rehabilitation, replacement, upgrade, and modernization projects intended to maintain or improve the safety, reliability, maintainability, and useful life of existing transit assets.

Plan work in and around active transit operations, maintenance facilities, stations, rights‑of‑way, and other constrained operating environments.

Coordinate closely with operations and maintenance stakeholders to define requirements, outages, access constraints, temporary conditions, testing needs, commissioning, training, and asset turnover.

Balance near‑term project delivery needs with lifecycle performance, maintainability, operational continuity, and long‑term agency objectives.

Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, forecasts, milestones, and delivery plans appropriate to projects of varying size and complexity.

Monitor project performance, identify emerging variances and constraints, and implement recovery or mitigation actions before issues materially affect delivery.

Coordinate with project controls staff to maintain accurate cost, schedule, forecast, change, risk, and performance information.

Review consultant and contractor work plans, schedules, estimates, invoices, progress, and performance against contractual and project requirements.

Provide clear, decision‑ready project status reporting to clients and leadership.

Support procurement planning, consultant and contractor selection, scopes of work, independent cost estimates, negotiations, and contract execution.
