Andersen's summer internship is a paid, 10-to-12-week program built to give students real project responsibility from day one, not just observation. Each intern is paired with an Internship Project Supervisor and work alongside Andersen's teams on live projects throughout the regional area.

Interns will participate in a structured rotation schedule that provides hands-on experience across active jobsites and key departments, including project engineering, field operations, safety, and preconstruction.

Interns will also have opportunities to volunteer alongside Andersen employees, support local communities, and experience our commitment to giving back.

Over the course of the summer, interns take part in structured project work, business unit exposure sessions, lunch and learns, and site visits, and are included in meaningful Andersen company and community events alongside full-time teammates. Interns have a steady cadence of professional development and reflection opportunities throughout the summer, capped by an end-of-summer program capstone event. An opportunity to end their summer experience with peers and business leaders.

• Project Engineering: Support project managers and project engineers with submittals, RFIs, subcontractor coordination, closeout documentation, and day-to-day project administration on an active Andersen jobsite.
• Field Engineering: Work alongside superintendents and field engineers on layout, quality control, scheduling support, and day-to-day site coordination, gaining hands-on exposure to how a project comes together in the field.
• Preconstruction & Estimating: Support the preconstruction and estimating team with quantity takeoffs, subcontractor bid solicitation, and cost analysis on projects moving through preconstruction.
• Safety / EHS: Partner with Andersen's safety team on jobsite audits, safety documentation, and program support, building a foundation in construction safety and risk management.
