Job Summary /
Description:
WMBF is searching for someone who wants to be in the center of the action. The heart of the station is in our TMP room. WMBF has an opening for a full-time Technical Media Producer (TMP), someone who can code and direct award-winning newscasts and seamlessly operate our master control technology. Position requires you to be very flexible. Schedule may include working late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays (the news never stops)!
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Code and direct newscasts (ROSS OVERDRIVE AUTOMATION)
- Ingest daily programming & commercial inventory
- Monitor WMBF's on-air broadcasts/streams, transmitter & FCC logs
- Edit newscasts (EDIUS)
- Oversee studio operations
- Adjust on the fly when breaking news changes our coverage plans
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Needs to be fluent in basic computer technology.
- Able to stay calm under pressure.
- Able to work late nights, early mornings, weekends & holidays.
- A background in communications with strengths in video and editing is desired.
- Newscast directing experience & master control operating experience is a plus.
- Experience at a commercial TV station is preferred.
