Master Control Operator

Weigel Broadcasting Co in Chicago, Illinois is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Master Control Operator to join the Master Control Team.

What You’ll Do
  • Set up, operate, and control television broadcast equipment
  • Monitor television broadcast equipment to transmit television programs and commercials to viewing audience
  • Conduct on-air switching, dubbing, and transferring programs
  • Manage and gather satellite feeds for broadcast use
  • Support the production of newscasts and other live or taped programming for television and multi-platform use
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
What You’ve Done
  • Minimum two years of experience in broadcast or video production
  • Proficient in computer applications, including word processing and database software
  • Hands-on experience with television equipment operation, automation systems, and tape and disk-based video servers
  • Working knowledge of satellite controllers, video waveform monitors, vector scopes, master control switching and routing systems
  • Proven ability to perform accurately and efficiently under pressure of television operations control
  • Developed and displayed responsible work habits with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
