Roots is looking for a Multimedia / Content Designer to own the visual welcome. You'll design the flyers, brand assets, social visuals, and light motion that carry how Roots looks and feels, which is, for most people, the very first thing they ever encounter of us.

At Roots, a graphic is never just a graphic. It is a first impression, and every first impression either tells a person they were expected or tells them they weren't. This role is our steward of beauty and quality (ihsaan), the conviction that the details are where the care shows. When the design is right, a person feels welcomed before they have read a word.

Right now, design is our daily bottleneck, the thing much of the rest of the work waits on. This role unblocks it. But more than throughput, it holds a standard: the ease a person feels when a Roots flyer or post looks effortless is the product of real work and real care, done long before they ever saw it.

Design happens close to the community it serves. You'll spend real time understanding what a piece is actually for, not just producing it, and you'll guide and lean on our design volunteers for event graphics and production support.

• The daily pipeline. Day-to-day design requests across programs, community, and social, turned around reliably so nothing waits on design.
• Templates and systems. The reusable foundations that make good design faster, so quality scales without burning anyone out.
• The brand. One consistent, recognizable, unmistakably Roots visual identity across everything we put out.
