The intern will support the publication of Hoxie Gorge Review and the Distinguished Voices in Literature series through research, submission review, and website and social media management. Intern will be tasked with reading and reviewing poetry and prose submissions to Hoxie Gorge Review, soliciting work from authors, and researching trends in publishing. They will also be responsible for managing the online content for the magazine and the series.
There may be opportunities to write and publish reviews with contributing authors in Hoxie Gorge Review. The intern will also support the Distinguished Voices in Literature series, including assisting with marketing and event planning.
8 hours per week, times and days flexible based on needs and events
Campus Location/Bldg.Old Main 112, English Department
Required Qualifications- -Must be a SUNY Cortland Student
- -ability to review poetry and prose submissions according to journal criteria
- -strong writing, editing, and organizational skills
- -has taken at least one creative writing class
- -Professional Writing or Creative & Professional Writing major or minor
- Work on computer for desktop publishing
- Help organize and set up on-campus events
