NEWS
(KUSA-TV, Denver) is seeking an exceptional journalist and compelling communicator to join Colorado's news leader as co-anchor of our #1 weekday evening newscasts and our market‑leading 10 p.m. broadcast. This is more than an anchor position. We are looking for a journalist who thrives in breaking news, brings credibility and curiosity to every story, leads by example in the newsroom, and builds meaningful connections with viewers across every platform.

Compensation
Pay Range: $200 – 235k annually, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.

What You'll Do
  • Co-anchor Denver's leading weekday newscasts, including 4 p.m., 5 p.m., and 10 p.m. broadcasts.
  • Deliver impactful, engaging storytelling across broadcast, digital, streaming, and social platforms.
  • Lead coverage during breaking news and major developing stories with confidence, authority, and accuracy.
  • Collaborate closely with producers, reporters, meteorologists, photojournalists, and newsroom leadership to create best-in-class journalism.
  • Contribute strong editorial judgment and help guide critical newsroom decisions.
  • Write, edit, and approve content under tight deadlines while maintaining high journalistic standards.
  • Develop original story ideas and enterprise reporting opportunities that resonate with Colorado audiences.
  • Work directly with photojournalists to craft compelling, memorable stories.
  • Serve as a field anchor during breaking news, major events, and special coverage.
  • Create daily digital and streaming content, including short-form video and audience-focused storytelling.
  • Fill in on additional broadcasts, including evening anchoring duties on KTVD, as needed.
  • Represent 9

What You Bring
  • A passion for journalism and a commitment to serving audiences with trusted, fact-based reporting.
  • Exceptional live anchoring skills and commanding on-air presence.
  • The ability to engage in authentic, spontaneous conversation and create memorable viewer moments.
  • Strong news judgment and a proven track record of handling breaking news coverage.
  • Excellent writing, reporting, and storytelling skills across multiple platforms.
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to elevate teammates and newsroom culture.
  • Curiosity, creativity, and a desire to continually innovate.
  • A deep understanding of journalistic ethics, accuracy, fairness, and accountability.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Five to seven plus years of experience in professional television news, including significant anchoring experience.
