Teaching Artist for After-School Class Series

The Tarrytown Music Hall Academy is seeking a Teaching Artist to join our faculty for our Fall 2026 after-school class series. This is a great opportunity for a passionate performing arts educator to teach group classes in a historic, community-centered performing arts institution.

Tarrytown Music Hall is a nonprofit dedicated to providing professional, high-quality performing arts training in Music, Theater, Dance, Voice, and Aerial Silks to students of all ages. Our Academy faculty holds degrees from schools such as The Juilliard School and The Manhattan School of Music and/or bring Broadway or American Ballet credits to their teaching. Students have the opportunity to perform in our historic Music Hall, one of the oldest professional theaters in the nation, and take part in masterclasses, performances alongside Broadway performers, field trips to Broadway shows, and more.

Through our Free School Residencies, Music Lesson Scholarships, and Pay-What-You-Can Policy, we make performing arts education accessible to all children, regardless of financial circumstance.

• Teach Tuesday evening classes, beginning Tuesday, September 22nd and ending Tuesday, December 22nd
• Available classes: 4:00 PM — Theatre for Littles:
  An introductory acting class for our youngest performers, focused on imagination, movement, and following directions through playful theatre games.
• 5:00 PM — Improv Acting: A fast-paced, collaborative class building quick thinking, creativity, and ensemble trust through improv games and exercises.
• 6:00 PM — Bway Song and Dance: A musical theatre class combining vocal technique with choreography drawn from classic and contemporary Broadway repertoire.
• 7:00 PM — Teen MT Dance (beginning Tuesday, November 3rd): A musical theatre dance class for teens focused on technique, style versatility, and stage presence through Broadway-inspired choreography.

• Experience working with children is required
• Background in theatre education is preferred
• Special interest in English-Spanish bilingual teaching artists
• Obtaining background check is required
