The Video Producer Associate is a hands-on media professional who independently manages routine approved video, audio, and digital-media projects from intake through delivery for courses, faculty, institutional departments, live events, grants, and approved partners. Working under the Video Producer Manager, the Associate performs preproduction, filming, editing, captioning, live-video production, media management, equipment care, client service, and task-level production leadership according to established creative, technical, accessibility, safety, and file-management standards.

- Demonstrates a mature and active Christian faith consistent with the Wesleyan-Holiness identity and mission of Asbury Theological Seminary.
- Affirms and supports the Seminary’s Statement of Faith, Ethos Statement, Mission Statement, and applicable community standards.
- Participates appropriately in the worshiping and spiritual life of the Seminary community.
- Integrates Christian character, stewardship, hospitality, integrity, respect, and service into production work and client relationships.
- Ensures that academic and institutional media support theological education, Christian formation, institutional community, and preparation for ministry.
- Works with faculty, staff, students, contractors, partners, and production participants consistently with the Seminary’s mission and expectations.
- Independently manages routine, approved production projects from intake through final delivery.
- Clarifies audience, purpose, scope, deliverables, deadlines, locations, technical requirements, review responsibilities, and distribution needs with the client.
- Develops practical production plans, schedules, shot lists, equipment lists, file structures, and review milestones.
- Coordinates faculty, staff, students, studios, locations, equipment, and media requirements.
- Maintains clear communication concerning preparation, progress, revisions, constraints, and delivery.
- Applies established creative, technical, accessibility, branding, rights, storage, and quality-control standards.
- Completes approved revisions and delivers final files in required formats and locations.
- Escalates complex, high-visibility, sensitive, unusually resource-intensive, or out-of-scope projects to the Video Producer Manager.
- Does not independently approve projects, alter institutional priorities, or commit resources beyond assigned authority.
- Manages and produces routine approved media for courses, faculty projects, academic programs, Communications, Advancement, the President’s Office, grants, institutional projects, and approved partners.
- Coordinates with clients to confirm audience, purpose, content, approvals, branding, rights, deadlines, and delivery requirements.
- Preserves academic-production priorities while meeting approved institutional commitments.
- Coordinates with Communications regarding public-facing branding, messaging, and distribution when applicable.
- Coordinates with grant or project leaders regarding deliverables, schedules, funding restrictions, and reporting requirements.
- Protects confidential, embargoed, copyrighted, licensed, or otherwise restricted content.
- Refers priority conflicts, sensitive content, unclear approvals, or substantial resource needs to the Video Producer Manager.
