Job Description RoleStaff Interaction Designer on the Agentic Docs team at Google responsible for defining patterns for AI agents that research, orchestrate, and collaborate with people in document workflows. You will lead cross-functional design efforts to move users from a blank page to a finished project with intelligent agents, ensuring consistency across Editors and Google Workspace.
Key Responsibilities- Lead UX strategy for agentic and autonomous document experiences, guiding cross-functional teams from early research to global launch.
- Develop user journeys, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate complex agent behaviors and design rationale.
- Identify user needs and mental models for “AI as a collaborator” and define end-to-end experiences that integrate across the broader Workspace ecosystem.
- Contribute to product strategy by tracking market trends in LLMs and agentic workflows.
- Maintain a high bar for design craft so complex AI-driven features feel intuitive and deliver outcomes.
- Minimum:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. - Minimum: 8 years of experience in product design or UX.
- Include a portfolio, website, or other links to work with your application.
- 5 years of experience in interaction design.
- Experience with consumer-facing products and working in changing environments.
- Experience integrating AI features into established products and pitching new concepts.
- Proficiency with vibe-coding tools.
- US salary range: $188000 - $274000 (USD).
