This role will focus primarily on communicating the story of Holy Shepherd to the community beyond the congregation. This requires a familiarity with how organizations (especially churches) are portrayed on social media, familiarity with video taking and editing, a willingness to engage congregation members to tell stories, and a capacity to tend to where and how Holy Shepherd is appearing on various social media apps.
The person in this position will:
- Create content including shorts/videos/other special media based on themes in consultation with staff
- Show up at events for picture taking, video footage, interviews
- Work with staff to identify themes to share, events to cover, questions to use to elicit stories from the congregation
- Reach out to church groups, staff to share their stories
- Post on various platforms including:
Facebook, Next Door, Instagram, Tik Tok, Linked-In
