Senior Product Designer

Compensation: $150,000 - $175,000 per year

This role focuses on creating intuitive, efficient, and visually compelling experiences for a sophisticated software platform used by legal professionals. The work involves simplifying complex professional workflows through thoughtful UX/UI design while balancing user needs, business objectives, accessibility, and technical considerations.

You will own design initiatives from initial research and concept development through implementation, working closely with Product Management, Engineering, Research, and other stakeholders. The position combines hands‑on product design with strategic thinking, user research, design system development, continuous product improvement, and mentorship of other designers.

End-to-End Product Design

• Lead the complete design process from initial concept through implementation.
• Conduct user research and translate findings into thoughtful product experiences.
• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, visual designs, and detailed design specifications.
• Design solutions for complex workflows while maintaining clarity, efficiency, and ease of use.

User-Centered Design

• Apply user-centered design principles throughout the product development process.
• Create intuitive and accessible experiences aligned with user needs and business objectives.
• Balance usability, visual quality, functionality, and product requirements when making design decisions.

Design Systems

• Contribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of the product design system.
• Create and refine reusable design patterns that improve consistency across the platform.
• Support scalable design practices as products and features continue to evolve.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, and other stakeholders throughout the design and development process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to define product requirements and explore potential solutions.
• Iterate on designs based on feedback, research findings, and technical considerations.
• Work with Engineering to support accurate and successful implementation of approved designs.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers.
• Review design work and provide constructive feedback to improve design quality.
• Help establish and promote effective product design practices across the design team.

User Research & Continuous Improvement

• Participate in user research initiatives and lead research activities when appropriate.
• Use research findings to validate design decisions and identify opportunities for future improvements.
• Analyze user feedback and product metrics to identify opportunities to enhance existing features and user experiences.
• Continuously refine product experiences based on user behavior, feedback, and measurable product outcomes.

• 5+ years of professional product design experience, preferably within SaaS, enterprise software, or legal technology environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating UX/UI design expertise, problem-solving skills, and experience designing complex workflows.
• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools, including Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong understanding of design systems and scalable interface patterns.
• Familiarity with front-end development principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
• Experience designing products for professional users and complex workflows.
• Familiarity with legal processes is a plus.
