Job PurposeThis position will be responsible for providing excellent service to our customers in accordance with Peoples Bank policies. The role includes opening deposit accounts, processing complex multi‑step teller transactions, selling bank products and services, assisting customers with maintenance requests, and resolving customer service issues. The employee will uncover additional customer needs and refer them to the appropriate business partner. This sales and service role is vital in helping the branch meet its goals while delivering industry‑leading customer service.
Job Duties- Deliver superior customer service with a friendly demeanor, can‑do attitude, and willingness to help at all times.
- Develop and retain the customer base, greet customers by name, know account ownership, and respond timely to correspondence and problems.
- Maintain a position of trust by keeping all customer business confidential.
- Receive checks and cash for deposit to savings and checking accounts, verify deposit amounts, and examine checks for endorsement and negotiability.
- Process complex multi‑step teller transactions.
- Research and offer solutions to resolve customer issues, using knowledge of the organization to identify helpful resources, and follow up with customers on resolution.
- Initiate conversations to uncover customer needs, refer customers to platform associates within the branch, and meet established referral goals.
- Make sales calls via phone or Zoom to clients and/or prospects on a weekly basis to meet branch calling goals, recording activities in Salesforce.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales referral goals as set by management; maintain a well‑developed working knowledge of the complete product and service line.
- Maintain balancing and error records in line with policy, find and correct outages, and enlist help as needed for difficult errors.
- Follow operational standards regarding security, risk management, and compliance.
- Complete required training for all bank and branch policies and procedures.
- Meet scheduled working hours as designated by manager to ensure branch functionality.
- Adhere to Retail Branch Standards, including dress code.
- Perform special projects as assigned.
Job Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1‑year related work experience in customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with high accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient in basic computer operations and standard applications; quickly learn and navigate job‑specific software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive and professional attitude.
- Proven team player.
- Trustworthy and confidential behavior is essential.
- Daily reliable transportation.
- Consistent standing required; bending or squatting may be necessary to access night drops, coin machines, vaults, ATM, etc., based on branch setup.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. consistently.
- Ability to travel for internal education and meetings, which may include overnight stays; also required to fill in at other branches as needed.
- High School Diploma or GED.

- Daily reliable transportation.
- Consistent standing required; bending or squatting may be necessary to access night drops, coin machines, vaults, ATM, etc., based on branch setup.
