Description
The Center for Careers and Internships is hiring dynamic students who want to make a difference by supporting CCI programs and helping fellow students connect with valuable career and internship resources.
As a CCI Ambassador,you’llbe the welcoming face of the Center, workingon projects that support student success, and engaging in outreach activities all while gaining hands-on experience with communications, events, and career tools.
Motivated and career-curious students with prior engagement with CCI resources are strongly encouraged to apply.
This is a student Level B position paying $14.95 per hour.
Core Responsibilities:- Greet andassiststudents and visitors in person and on the phone. Guidevisitorsto the right resources with professionalism and kindness.
- Contribute to meaningful career pathway focused projects involving research, data entry, resource development, blog posts and more.
- Utilize platforms including Handshake, Midd2
Midd, Linked In, Canva, and the CCI website. - Demonstrate knowledge of CCI resources and services.
- PromoteCCI resources across campus through events,posters,surveys,and tabling.
- Assist peers with Handshaketosign in, find events,andscheduleappointments.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all students
- Keep the lobby inviting and organizedperestablished checklist.
- Friendly, approachable communicator who enjoys talking to students from all backgrounds.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Exceptional customer service skills- inperson, email, and telephone communications.
- Organized, detail-oriented self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Canva, Google Suite, and Handshake (we can train you!)
- Work6hours/week for a minimum of two semesters (consecutive semesters preferred)
- Demonstrated accountabilityandpunctuality.
Working Conditions:
Primarily working in anofficeenvironment,seatedatreception desk,utilizing phone and computer.
Stairsrequiredto accessprinteronsecondfloor.
Occasional standing at off-site events.
Unless restricted by certain visa status, all students with an active status for the semester are eligible for jobs on campus.
Students on leave or withdrawn are not eligible to work in student employment positions until the semester in which they return. If you are currently withdrawn or on leave you are eligible to be employed in staff positions.
Some may be restricted due to financial aid status. International students (non-resident aliens) may not work off campus unless they have applied for and received work authorization from the United States government. (An F-1 visa does not give work authorization.) Off campus work study positions are available only to U.S. citizens on financial aid with a federal work study component.
Students are not eligible to work remotely from International locations.
Hour Limitations:All student employees are limited to working no more than 20 hours per week in on campus jobs during the academic year (this includes exam periods). The only exception is when there is a full week when school is not in session. Specifically:
February recess, Spring recess, and full weeks of December or summer recess. During these time periods only, students can work up to 40 hours per week. International Students:
Visa restrictions prohibit international students from exceeding 20 hours of work per academic calendar week.
