Customer Service/HelpDesk
Customer Service Rep, Call Center / Support
This role involves handling back-to-back inbound calls in a high-volume contact center, many involving complex or emotionally sensitive customer situations. You’ll support customers through difficult experiences with empathy and urgency, de-escalate concerns, manage multiple systems while resolving inquiries, and work toward meeting productivity, quality and attendance goals.
The employer wants strong communication and problem-solving skills, accountability, reliability, and comfort navigating multiple computer systems. Prior customer service or contact center experience is preferred, along with exposure to insurance or healthcare and basic knowledge of life and health insurance products. Candidates must be located in the United States or Puerto Rico with high-speed internet.
Applicant tracking systems sit between most online applications and the hiring manager. If your resume hasn't been looked at with that in mind lately, it's worth a second opinion.
The position is remote but requires completing mandatory, structured training on a fixed schedule (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM CST) starting September 10, after which the shift changes to 9:00 AM–5:30 PM CST. Pay is $21.00 per hour plus an annual bonus opportunity, and applicants must not require future employment sponsorship.
