Pay Range: $17.00–$21.00/hour

Alton Main Animal Hospital is looking for a friendly, compassionate, and dependable Client Service Representative (CSR) to join our team!

Our CSRs are an important part of the client experience and serve as the connection between pet owners and our veterinary team. If you enjoy helping people, love animals, and thrive in a busy, team-oriented environment, we’d love to meet you!

• Provide exceptional customer service in person and over the phone
• Schedule and confirm appointments and assist with patient check-in/check-out
• Maintain accurate client and patient records
• Prepare estimates, invoices, and process payment
• Answer phones and assist with client questions and concerns
• Communicate with empathy and professionalism, especially during stressful situations
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area
• Assist with patient admissions, including obtaining weights and updating information
• Process referrals, lab results, mail, and other documentation
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and other front-desk duties
• Help identify urgent concerns and communicate them appropriately to the veterinary team
• Participate in ongoing learning and opportunities to develop veterinary assistant skills

• 2+ years of customer service experience preferred
• Veterinary or medical experience is a plus, but not required
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
• Basic computer and math skills
• Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
• Positive, professional, and compassionate team player
• Ability to learn veterinary terminology and hospital procedures

The anticipated pay range for this position is $17.00–$21.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be based on factors including qualifications, experience, skills, and other job-related considerations, consistent with applicable law.
