customers strengthen engagement, connect to employment opportunities, and successfully transition
toward meaningful employment and long-term career success.
Supports customer engagement, employment preparation, and participation activities by connecting
customers to employment opportunities, hiring events, Job Club activities, and employment-related
services aligned with their skills, goals, and participation requirements. This role develops employer
relationships, coordinates employment opportunities and related activities, supports customer
participation and engagement, and helps customers successfully transition toward employment and
long-term career success.
$29.81 per hour.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES- – Conduct assessments to identify customer strengths, career interests, employment goals, barriers, and service needs.
- – Provide career exploration guidance, labor market information, training exploration, and resource navigation to support informed career decisions.
- – Develop individualized career and employment plans that outline customer goals, action steps, training activities, and supportive service needs.
- – Explain available services, program expectations, and next steps using clear, user-friendly language.
- – Provide ongoing motivational coaching, encouragement, and goal tracking to support customer engagement and progress toward training and employment goals.
- – Identify barriers to participation or employment and coordinate supportive services, community resources, or referrals as appropriate.
- – Coordinate with Intake Specialists, Support Specialists, Career Readiness Specialists, Talent Liaisons, community partners, and related services to support continuity of service and employment readiness.
- – Support customers with training exploration, applications, enrollment activities, and career planning processes.
- – Maintain accurate case notes, activity codes, services, career plans, measurable skill gains, credential tracking, and required documentation in Employ Florida, OSST, and other required systems.
- – Monitor customer progress, training participation, and service engagement to support alignment with individualized career plans.
- – Document outcomes and support customer transitions to Career Readiness, employment, or retention-related services as appropriate.
- – Participate in training, team meetings, and continuous improvement activities while contributing to a respectful workplace culture.
- – Support continuity of service and positive customer outcomes through effective collaboration with staff and functional teams.
- – Perform other related duties as assigned.
- – High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in human services, counseling, business, education, or related field preferred.
- – Two or more years of experience in career coaching, career planning, case management, or related customer-facing roles preferred.
- – Strong coaching, motivational, interpersonal, organizational, and active listening skills.
- – Ability to assess customer strengths, barriers, and service needs while developing individualized career and employment plans.
- – Ability to explain services, processes, and next steps using clear, customer-friendly language.
- – Experience using case management systems and documentation platforms to maintain accurate customer records and service information preferred.
