Patient Coordinator – Full Time

Cambridge Dental Group is a busy, growing dental practice in Dearborn Heights, and we’re looking for an experienced Patient Coordinator to join our front office team.

If you’re organized, personable, confident with patients, and have a strong understanding of dental scheduling and insurance, we’d love to meet you!

MUST HAVE 1+ YEAR OF DENTAL OFFICE EXPERIENCE

Schedule
  • Full-time position
  • Alternating Saturdays required
What You’ll Do
  • Welcome patients and provide a warm, professional experience from check-in to check-out
  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments and treatment
  • Coordinate referrals and complex treatment schedules
  • Verify dental insurance benefits and eligibility
  • Submit and follow up on insurance claims
  • Collect patient payments and explain financial policies
  • Follow up on outstanding patient balances
  • Maintain accurate patient records and appointment information
  • Communicate with clinical team members to ensure a smooth patient experience
  • Help keep the front office running efficiently in a fast-paced environment
What We’re Looking For
  • 1+ year of dental office experience required
  • Previous dental front office experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with dental insurance verification, claims, and billing
  • Knowledge of PPO and Medicaid insurance is a plus
  • Experience with Open Dental preferred
  • Strong scheduling and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
  • Comfortable working in a busy, high-volume dental environment

Requirements Education and Training
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent of combination of education and experience.

FLSA Status: Hourly

Reports to: Operations Manager.
