Damar Services is looking for a Dentist to help build and grow our dental services while providing high-quality, patient-centered care as part of an integrated healthcare team. This is an exciting opportunity for a Dentist who wants to practice comprehensive dentistry while making a meaningful impact. You'll provide preventive, restorative, and surgical dental care while collaborating with medical, behavioral health, nursing, and other healthcare professionals.

You'll play an important role in the development and continued growth of dental services at Damar, helping shape clinical practices and expand access to high-quality oral healthcare for the individuals and communities we serve.

Schedule

Monday-Friday daytime schedule with no weekends and no on-call Monday-Wednesday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM;
Thursday, 8:00 AM-6:00 PM;
Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive preventive, restorative, and surgical dental care
  • Perform procedures including fillings, crowns, bridges, implants, dentures, root canal treatment, tooth extractions, and corrective jaw surgery
  • Assess patients’ oral health needs and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic testing and dental imaging
  • Educate patients and caregivers on recommended treatment, preventive care, and ongoing oral health needs
  • Respond to dental emergencies and provide appropriate treatment, follow-up, and referrals
  • Provide individualized, patient-centered dental care to individuals with diverse medical, behavioral, developmental, and communication needs
  • Supervise and provide clinical oversight to the Dental Hygienist
  • Collaborate with medical, behavioral health, nursing, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
  • Help develop and grow Damar’s dental services, including clinical workflows, protocols, and standards of care
  • Support quality improvement efforts focused on clinical quality, patient safety, access to care, and the overall patient experience
Qualifications and Skills
  • Required:
    • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental education program
    • Current, unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of Indiana
    • Current DEA registration
    • Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions
    • Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and physical
    • Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening
  • Preferred:
    • Previous professional dental experience is preferred but not required
    • Experience in a community health, FQHC, integrated healthcare, or similar setting
