Hygienist

University Dental Associates seeks a patient-focused Dental Hygienist to provide high-quality preventive and periodontal care in a professional practice setting. Responsibilities include performing thorough prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, sealants, fluoride treatments, radiographs, and accurate charting. The hygienist will educate patients on oral hygiene, support the dentist during exams, and help maintain infection control and sterilization standards. You will collaborate closely with dentists and staff to ensure efficient scheduling, detailed documentation, and a positive patient experience that supports long-term relationships and ongoing oral health.

• Provide dental prophylaxis and periodontal maintenance treatments
• Take and interpret dental radiographs following safety protocols
• Perform periodontal charting and maintain accurate clinical records
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and treatment plans
• Apply sealants and fluoride and assist with desensitizing treatments
• Follow strict infection control and sterilization procedures
• Collaborate with dentists on comprehensive patient care
• Support efficient patient flow, scheduling, and chair turnover
• Document findings and services in the practice management system
• Contribute to a positive, professional, patient-centered environment
