Salary: $25 - $35/hour + Bonus

HGM Associates is seeking an Architectural Designer to join our Council Bluffs, Iowa office and support the planning and design of a wide variety of commercial building projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a creative, detail-oriented architectural professional who wants to develop design ideas, prepare design drawings, assist with construction documents, and work closely with a collaborative team of architects, Project Managers, clients, contractors, and sub-consultants.

In this position, you will help complete and coordinate the documentation involved in the design and construction process, participate in design and construction meetings, support project research and preliminary concepts, and assist with communication and coordination throughout each project.

• Help develop and design creative architectural project ideas
• Complete design drawings in Revit, Sketch Up, and Enscape
• Assist in reviewing construction documents produced by team members
• Complete and coordinate documentation involved in the design and construction process
• Participate in design and construction meetings
• Communicate and collaborate with the architectural team, clients, contractors, and sub-consultants by monitoring project progress, answering questions, sending updates, presenting project concepts, and coordinating project details
• Provide support to the Architect and Project Manager, including initial project research, preliminary concept development, and outlining project schedules and tasks

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture
• Desire to work toward professional architectural licensure
• Valid driver's license
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong multitasking and time management skills
