Position OverviewWe are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Drafting Technician Intern to support our architectural team in creating accurate technical drawings and documentation. This role involves working closely with architects and designers to produce high-quality drafts using Revit and AutoCAD, ensuring all projects meet Wallace Architects’ high standards and comply with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in creating and managing Revit models and CAD drawings to support project specifications.
- Collaborate with architects and designers to ensure accurate, up-to-date project documentation.
- Revise and refine drawings based on feedback from project stakeholders to maintain quality and compliance with design requirements.
- Coordinate with the design team to ensure seamless integration of drawings and models within project workflows.
- Maintain project documentation, including file organization and drawing updates, to support project progress.
- Enrollment in, or recent completion of, an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program in Drafting, Architectural Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution, with good academic standing required.
- Successful completion of relevant coursework in CADD and/or Revit, with demonstrated aptitude; prior architectural, drafting or related internship experience is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of architectural drawing standards and a foundational understanding of building codes,
- Strong attention to detail and sound organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines within a collaborative, team‑based environment with guidance from a designated lead.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team, follow direction, and respond positively to supervision and constructive feedback.
