About the RoleJ. Cor Architecture is seeking a Studio Production Lead to provide technical and production leadership across our growing residential architecture studio.
This is a senior architectural leadership role focused on construction documentation, technical coordination, project execution, quality control, and team mentorship across a wide range of residential project types. The ideal candidate is a highly experienced residential architect or technical project leader with a strong understanding of residential construction, builder coordination, detailing, and Revit-based project delivery.
This individual will work directly with the founder and studio leadership to help oversee project execution, maintain technical quality, mentor production staff, and support the continued growth of the firm’s production capabilities.
Responsibilities- Lead the technical development and production of residential architecture projects from design development through construction documentation.
- Oversee drawing set organization, coordination, detailing, and overall document quality across active projects.
- Ensure projects are technically sound, well-coordinated, and aligned with firm standards and builder expectations.
- Support project teams through technical problem-solving and architectural guidance throughout project development.
- Help maintain consistency and quality across production deliverables within the studio.
- Review construction documents for coordination, constructability, code compliance, and overall quality control.
- Coordinate with consultants, internal project teams, and external partners throughout project development.
- Develop and refine architectural detailing, documentation standards, and technical production systems.
- Assist in resolving technical and construction-related issues during project development and permitting.
- Maintain a strong understanding of residential construction methods, materials, and builder-driven project delivery.
- Mentor and support architectural staff, drafters, and project teams throughout project production.
- Help train and guide team members in Revit workflows, documentation standards, and technical execution.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and quality-driven studio environment.
- Support leadership in building and developing a strong internal production team as the firm grows.
- Assist in onboarding and evaluating production staff as needed.
- Collaborate closely with the founder and Director of Studio Operations to align project staffing and production priorities.
- Help evolve internal production workflows, Revit standards, templates, and detailing libraries.
- Contribute to the continued refinement of studio-wide production systems and quality control processes.
- Support efficient project delivery while maintaining strong architectural quality and design intent.
- Help strengthen the firm’s technical and production capabilities as the studio continues to grow nationally.
- Licensed Architect preferred, or equivalent senior-level residential production experience.
- Strong background in residential architecture and construction documentation.
- Advanced knowledge of residential construction methods, detailing, consultant coordination, and permitting processes.
- High level of proficiency in Revit and BIM-based project workflows.
- Experience leading or mentoring architectural production teams preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and technical problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple active projects and production teams effectively.
- Experience with production housing, luxury residential, custom homes, or builder-focused residential work preferred.
This position is based in our Scottsdale, Arizona studio and requires regular in-office collaboration. Candidates should currently live in the Phoenix metropolitan area or be willing to relocate.
- Base salary: $100,000-$125,000, depending on experience
