Description

Dominium is currently seeking a full-time Spring 2027 Architecture Intern to join us at our Dallas Regional Office. This is a full-time, on-site internship starting approximately January 7, 2027 and ending approximately May 21, 2027.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis beginning late September 2026. Initial interviews are expected to begin in early to mid-October 2026, and we anticipate completing the majority of hiring decisions by late November 2026 for Spring 2027 internships. POSITION SUMMARY:

The Architecture Intern supports Dominium’s Architecture Team, including Architectural Designers, Project Managers, and the Vice President of Architecture, with multifamily housing projects involving new construction and rehabilitation. Under the direction of architectural staff, this position assists with production drawings, prepares design materials, researches building products and systems, and supports construction administration activities. This role provides hands‑on experience in architectural design, documentation, and project coordination.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Assists with the preparation and revision of production drawings and construction documents for multifamily new construction and rehabilitation projects under the direction of architectural staff.
  • Prepares 2D drawings, 3D models, and presentation materials for design development and project team review.
  • Incorporates drawing markups, design revisions, and project information into architectural documents as directed by Architectural Designers and Project Managers.
  • Assists with evaluating technical and design solutions related to building systems, materials, and project requirements.
  • Researches building products, materials, and systems to support design decisions and material selection, including sustainable design solutions.
  • Supports construction administration activities, including organizing project documentation and assisting with the review and tracking of submittals, requests for information, and related correspondence.
  • Maintains organized project files, drawings, and records and provides administrative support to the Architecture Team as needed.
  • Collaborates with internal teams and external project partners to support project coordination and maintain professional working relationships.
  • Maintains timely and regular attendance.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field, or obtained a degree in one of these fields within the previous 12 months.
  • Foundational knowledge of architectural design principles, building systems, materials, and construction methods.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to prepare and revise architectural drawings and models under the direction of architectural staff.
