Job Summary:

This position leads the design and planning of projects and assists with the implementation of projects from concept to completion. Collaborates with internal and external teams on projects, ensuring adherence to codes, budgets, and timelines. Prepares and reviews design and pricing for projects.## Education & Experience
** Education and Experience

Required:

** Bachelor’s degree in architecture and five (5) years of architect, designing, or engineering experience.
** Certifications, Licenses, or Registration

Required:

** Valid Mississippi driver’s license. Architect license from Mississippi State Board of Architecture.

* Preferred Qualifications:

** Academic medical, healthcare, or university design experience. Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification.## Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
** Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
** Demonstration of proficiency in planning and design, knowledge of design practices and principles and applicable codes and standards. Excellent communication skills, including ability to present information and respond accurately and concisely to inquiries. Ability to professionally manage both internal and external design staff. High attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines effectively.
** Responsibilities:
*** Works with user groups on planning and design including review of business outcomes and working to translate those outcomes into facility solutions.  Use master plans to link business outcomes to facility use.
* Oversee the production of design and working drawings and specifications; ensures accuracy and completeness of project drawings prior to approval of construction documents.
* Effectively and efficiently utilize graphics and presentation software to delineate planning concepts (e.g.  sketch-up, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro, Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD, and PowerPoint).
* Supervises, leads and develops assigned team. Articulates vision, planning and business strategy at all levels.
