The designer supports project teams in New York using Rhino, Grasshopper, Python, GIS, and environmental simulation tools; organises research into summaries and work plans; collaborates with engineers on site analysis and planning; and contributes to documentation, reports, and design drawings.
The role includes exploratory work on AI, IoT, and digital twins for the built environment. Requirements: 0-2 years of experience, a bachelor's degree in design engineering, computational design, architecture, or a related field, and proficiency with Rhino or Grasshopper; environmental simulation experience (Ladybug, HEC-RAS, CFD), GIS, Revit/BIM, or robotics knowledge preferred. Salary $73,000-$81,000, with ESOP eligibility, learning stipend, and alternating Fridays off.
