Surgeon, Medical Doctor, Critical Care Physician, Neurophysiologist
Location: Hardinsburg
Due to an upcoming vacancy, a Level III Trauma Center in a coastal city in the Midwest is seeking a general neurosurgeon. The new neurosurgeon will join an experienced neurosurgeon who has been in the community for many years, and another surgeon who moved to the community in the last year. The hospital administration is very supportive, and a personable, community-focused neurosurgeon will thrive.
The neurosurgeon can anticipate seeing 300 cases. There are no pediatric neurosurgery responsibilities and trauma is minimal. While very few cranial cases are currently being seen, there is an opportunity to capture those cases and the ICU can support patient care for routine cranial cases. Staff at all levels are notably happy to be at work! Both new grads and experienced candidates are invited to apply.
The healthcare system is the area’s largest and most comprehensive resource for quality medical care and is dedicated to serving the region’s 300,000 residents. Resulting from the consolidation of what once were three separate hospitals serving the area, it serves as the only full-service medical center in the county. The medical center is locally managed and governed as a not-for-profit healthcare facility.
