The facility provides comprehensive cardiac services with dedicated interventional capabilities. Coverage is needed to ensure continuous patient care and maintain appropriate call coverage ratios.

Kentucky offers diverse attractions ranging from underground cave systems like Louisville Mega Cavern and Mammoth Cave National Park to outdoor recreation areas such as Red River Gorge. The state features entertainment venues including Churchill Downs horse racing track, Newport Aquarium, and various sports stadiums, alongside cultural experiences like distillery tours. Visitors can explore regional markets and major event centers throughout the area.

The interventional cardiologist will provide coverage for 3-7 days per month on 24‑hour call shifts. Responsibilities include managing inpatients and EMTALA patients requiring interventional cardiology services. Board certification in Interventional Cardiology is required. The position requires on‑site presence with no ambulatory work component and daily electronic documentation of patient notes.
