ASAP About the Position Join Our Team as a Locum Physician – General Medicine KY and Make a Difference Are you a dedicated healthcare professional with a passion for serving Veterans? VHS, a Maximus company and trusted government contractor, is seeking qualified General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments nationwide. Key Responsibilities:

Conduct interview-based assessments and physical exams including range of motion and muscle strength testing Complete non-treatment, one-time exams and assessments Addendums and administrative follow-up work as required Work independently in your own office within a 50-mile radius of Paducah, KY Schedule flexible shifts, including half-day (4 hours) and full-day (8 hours) engagements on an ongoing basis Adhere to exam protocols with no prescription or treatment responsibilities Ensure timely completion and submission of reports and documentation

Required Skills:

Medical license in good standing in Kentucky Background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine

Experience with compensation and pension exams preferred Excellent interview and physical assessment skills Strong organizational and reporting skills Ability to work independently and follow established procedures Nice to Have

Skills:

Prior experience with veteran healthcare or military assessments Certification in medical evaluation or related fields Familiarity with medical documentation and reporting platforms Preferred

Education and Experience:

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice or experience in medical assessments Prior experience in veteran or military healthcare assessments is a plus Other Requirements:
Own or have access to a suitable office location within the designated area Willingness to work flexible hours, including half and full-day shifts Reliable internet, phone, and communication tools for report submission Ability to complete required credentialing and onboarding procedures promptly Local candidates only; travel is included in the rate structure Must complete training and perform initial exams to receive bonus eligibility Earn $624 per hour in a role that offers flexibility, meaningful work, and comprehensive support.
