You’ll join a collaborative inpatient psychiatry team at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital
, working alongside engaged colleagues in a system that values innovation, education, and evidence-based care.

This role is intentionally structured to help you grow:

• Academic Appointment with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine—ideal if you enjoy teaching and mentoring
• Work closely with psychiatry residents and medical students
  , shaping the next generation of physicians
• Opportunities to participate in research and contribute to advancing psychiatric care
• Be part of a system with 13 residency programs and 16 fellowships
  , including Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine, and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry

• Manage a focused inpatient caseload (10–12 patients/day)
• Treat an acute adult population in a high acuity, short-duration environment
• Lead a multidisciplinary team
  , enhancing both patient outcomes and your leadership skills
• Practice in a setting that values quality over volume

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board certification or eligibility (ABPN)

The posted salary range may not reflect the full value of the total compensation package. You are eligible to participate in the Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus compensation programs to improve the minimum salary.

Historical averages of Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus earnings are included in the maximum salary. In addition, comprehensive benefits and pension offerings further enhance the overall rewards package.
